The Basics
Head offshore with your captain into the deep blue Caribbean around St. Croix. Common catches include mahi-mahi, tuna, wahoo, marlin and kingfish. We mostly troll, which lets us cover miles of water to find the fish. Inshore species like snapper, grouper and jacks are available on request.
Trip Lengths
Choose from 4 to 12 hours. Shorter trips stay close to the island, often fishing the shelf less than a mile from shore. Longer trips run farther offshore, weather permitting. Want a lunch stop, a private beach or a snorkel break? Just ask when you book.
What to Bring
- Every guest (or guardian) must sign a waiver before departure. We'll send the link after you book.
- Water and snacks are provided. You're welcome to bring your own food and drinks. We have plenty of cooler space and will send you home with fresh fish on ice.
- Reef-safe sunscreen only. No spray sunscreen. It stains the boat.
- No bananas. Yes, really.
Alcohol
BYOB, no glass. Please drink responsibly. The captain may end a trip early for alcohol-related safety issues, without a refund.
Gear
Shimano Tiagra reels with quality rods, line and tackle.
Cancellations
Deposits are non-refundable unless Somewhere Salty cancels for weather or other unforeseen circumstances. With advance notice, we're happy to help you reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are charged the full trip rate.
