The Basics
Snorkel spots, wreck dives, natural wonders, secluded beaches, restaurants on the water, shopping: we'll plan the day around what your group wants to do.
Weather permitting, we can also take you to nearby islands on request:
- St. Thomas and St. John (about 40 miles, roughly 75 minutes each way)
- Vieques and Culebra (about 40 miles, roughly 75 minutes each way)
- Eastern Puerto Rico (about 60 miles, roughly 2 hours each way)
A few ideas:
- Tacos at Lime Out in St. John, with stops to snorkel and explore remote beaches
- Diving off St. Thomas, with a stop in Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook
- Flamenco Beach in Culebra, with snorkeling along the way
- Sightseeing and shopping in Fajardo, Puerto Rico
You'll ride on Hunter's Horizon, our 26-foot Glacier Bay power catamaran with twin Mercury 200 FourStroke engines. We'll confirm your departure point and start time when you book.
What to Bring
- Every guest (or guardian) must sign a waiver before departure. We'll send the link after you book.
- Water and snacks are provided. You're welcome to bring your own food and drinks, and we have plenty of cooler space.
- Long-sleeve sun shirts, hats and sunglasses. Shade on the boat is limited and shifts as we move.
- Reef-safe sunscreen only. No spray sunscreen. It stains the boat.
- Snorkel gear is provided on request at no extra charge.
Alcohol
BYOB, no glass. Please drink responsibly. Guests who have been drinking will be asked to stay out of the water.
Deposits and Cancellations
No dates are reserved without a deposit. The remaining balance is paid after your charter.
Deposits are non-refundable unless Somewhere Salty cancels for weather or other unforeseen circumstances. With advance notice, we're happy to help you reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are charged the full trip rate.
